Our first theme-dedicated library and named after the Eternal Hammerer of Finnish lore, 'Ilmarinen' is a cadre of blacksmithing sounds from hammer to anvil to forge. We visited three regional blacksmiths who operate three uniquely different styles of smithies. 302 files full of grindings, glorious hammer strikes, taps, and drops, tap hammer operation, blowers, forge FX, braces, clamps, squelches and more! Impactful and brilliant in their nature, and wonderfully shapeable due to the richness of their sonic content. Each asset stands on its own detail and nuance, but the collective blend will layer in the most incredible ways.
The collection is a mix of (mostly) 96kHz and (some) 48kHz, with both individual FX and natural runs of more continuous events and actions. This library is designed to be as flexible as possible, easily fitting into historical recreations of a traditional blacksmith's shop, as well as building newly created futuristic and fantastical places of heat, metal, and glory.
